StreamEye Studio 2026: Major Performance Boost with VMAF Acceleration and AV1 Buffer Support

June 18, 2026News

We're excited to unveil the new version of StreamEye Studio — our professional video analysis toolkit that's now even more powerful and feature-rich.

StreamEye Studio 2026 is the result of our team's dedicated work on improving every aspect of the product. We've carefully listened to your feedback and created a solution that helps you work more efficiently, analyze deeper, and make decisions faster.

What's Changed?

Performance Taken to the Next Level

Analysis speed is critical when it comes to professional video work. In the new version, we've significantly accelerated key processes:

  • Dramatically faster VMAF calculation thanks to the updated library — quality assessment now takes a fraction of the time
  • Multithreading mode for HEVC decoder — analyze HEVC streams faster than ever before
  • Increased parsing speed in Stream Analyzer — process large volumes of data more efficiently

Enhanced User Experience

  • Migration to Qt 6. The framework update brought not only technical modernization but also noticeable improvements to the visual style: updated menus, buttons, fonts, and other interface elements make working with the product more comfortable.
  • Full macOS compatibility. Resolved the app verification issue on macOS, ensuring quick and seamless installation on Apple devices without additional security settings.
  • More intuitive interface. User interface improvements have been implemented across all tools in the suite — from StreamEye to YUV Viewer.

More Analysis Capabilities

Extended Support for Modern Formats

  • Enhanced AV1 analysis in StreamEye — with Switch Frame indication, additional OBU metadata, and extended statistics
  • Support for APV format
  • HDR Vivid identification with metadata display

Adaptive Streaming Made Easier

Now you can open HLS and MPEG-DASH manifests, select the desired profile, and analyze all segments — this works in StreamEye, Video Quality Estimator, and Stream Analyzer.

Completely Redesigned Video Quality Estimator

This tool has essentially become a new product. You can now assess the quality of up to 5 files simultaneously (instead of 3 previously), while the complete engine redesign delivers noticeably higher performance and usability.

Fundamentally New Buffer Analysis Capabilities in StreamEye

We know how crucial buffer control is for streaming quality. The updated toolkit in StreamEye offers:

  • Synchronization between the Buffer graph and BarChart and Stream Viewer panels — move the cursor and instantly see the corresponding frame;
  • Buffer fullness indication for the current cursor position;
  • Single table with all buffer entry data;
  • Support for AV1 buffer analysis.

Deeper Analytics in Stream Analyzer

  • Improved Bitrate graph: you can now set the analysis window size to 10, 100, 250, or 500 ms for precise microburst detection
  • Extended video and audio data
  • PID display for each error, enabling quick identification of the problem source. Added error filtering by service, PID, or tables
  • Detailed TS packet information with numbering and PID indication
