Elecard ViCont 1.3 Update

New Technical Features

In ViCont 1.3, we expanded the capabilities of the server, Android and Linux players, and added new features for ViCont InfoBoards, the version for navigation panels. This release makes the system more flexible, easier to manage, and more stable for long-term operation.

Vicont 1.3 Server

Channel and Content Management

  • You can now create channels and organize channel lists.
  • You can upload presentations and web pages directly to the system.
  • You can now add video, images, presentations, and web pages directly in the scheduling editor.
  • Added support for advanced playlists, where items can include not only video, but also images and simple playlists.
  • Implemented support of receiving any type of auxiliary data: estimated time of arrival, electronic queue systems, countdown timers, and more. Once a command is received from an external source, the ViCont server automatically updates the data on the screen.

Interface and Administration

  • The server now stores screenshot history for content monitoring.
  • We enhanced player filtering and display for faster device search.
  • We improved statistics processing performance.
  • Player cards now show extended information, including IP address and other parameters.
  • Added Uplynk DRM support.

Additional Features for ViCont InfoBoards (Version for navigation panels)

  • Added a nested tree structure for convenient player organization.
  • Implemented support for different device types for specialized display setups.
  • Added Picture-in-Picture mode, allowing simultaneous playback of different content in separate screen areas.

Android Player

  • We implemented custom firmware for selected Android set-top boxes and now offer devices pre-configured for remote updates.
  • The Android player now supports channels with user-controlled switching.
  • The player can now display presentations with automatic or manual slide switching.
  • Added web page playback support.
  • Added audio language switching for multilingual streams.
  • Implemented DRM decryption support.

Linux Player

  • The Linux player now supports web page playback.
  • Added smooth transitions between video and images.
  • Implemented Picture-in-Picture mode for navigation panels.
  • Improved long-term operational stability.
  • Fixed artifacts in playback of certain media files.
  • Added display support of auxiliary data from external sources such as estimated time of arrival, electronic queue systems, countdown timers, and more.
