Hello,
I have installed Elecard AVC Plugin for WMP on a PC with Windows Seven 64 bits
When I play a video movie with Windows Media Player the Elecard Plugin is not used, this is the imbed Windows Seven plugin that is used; I can verify this by not registering the software: in this case an Elecard logo appears in the upper right corner of the video; this logo don't appears ...
Have I made a mistake in the installation?
My version of Elecard AVC Plugin for WMP is 2.0.90716

Unfortunatelly, if our product is not working with WMP it means, that your 64-bit system contains 64-bit Windows Media Player, which doesn't work with 32-bit Direct Show Codecs, including our product. But  you can make sure if our product can be used in your system if you will install any Mpeg Player without AVC supporting. For example Elecard Mpeg Player, or KMPlayer.

I have installed the trial version of your "Elecard AVC HD Player" and it work fine under Windows Seven 64 bits (I see the Elecard logo at the upper right)
Why the "Elecard AVC Plugin for WMP" don't work?
If this plugin don't work under Seven 64 bits, I want a refund, because it is specified on your web site "work on Windows Seven"

Hi cricri49!

Hi, Christian

Christian, we appreciate you as our customer and first need to make sure, that our product is not working in your system Windows 64bit. I asked you to check it with our player or KMPlayer, which you can use in evaluation period, for the reason to understand, does Windows Media Player 64 bit allows any plug in of direct show component work with itself.

Cause our plug in may work at your system with any player, but can't work with WMP.

Here you can download our Mpeg Player with free evaluation period, and try to playback any AVC video.

In case you able to watch video, please about it to me.

Sincerely yours
Emil

Hi Emil,

Nor with « Elecard Mpeg Player », nor with « Elecard AVC HD Player », I can see the Elecard logo.
Windows don’t use Elecard plugins, but its own codecs.
I have re-installed Windows Seven in 32 bits mode and this the same problem: the Elecard codecs are not used.
I suppose this is because Windows use Media Foundation instead of DirectShow
How can I force Windows to use DirectShow?

Regards

Hi, cricri49!

I am trying to find solution for you regarding WMP.

We tested our Elecard AVC Plug In on Windows 7 64-bit as you have, and ready to confirm, that our product is used in this OS.
We opened AVC video file by Elecard Mpeg Player with our Eleard AVC Plug In without troubles and receive AVC video stream broadcasting by WMP (open URL) - our plug in was used without problems. You can repeat this and see our logo.

But the problem is in the using of our AVC plug in by WMP when we simply open video file.
Windows media player has it is own priority of direct show filters. WMP uses as priority (merit) only Windows components.
That's why you can't open your video using AVC Plug-in

To find solution we've contacted WMP team and wait for answer.
When we have answer I inform you

Ok, I will clarify for you to know.

WMP is an application with its own components as AVC video decoder, renderer etc. All these components Player use while playback. And if player can't find necessary component, application is trying to find it (codecs) of other providers as Elecard. But only in case there is no its own. What do you need is to force using by WMP our product. So we trying to find solution for you, because of Microsoft corporation confirm, that WMP uses only its own codec. Please be patient I'll inform you when we find solution for you

Is it a limitation in Windows 7, because of its use of Windows Media Foundation?
Your plugin work fine with WMP in Vista

Good day, cricri49

No, the problem is not in Windows Media Fondation, but because of priority of components. WMP doesn't allow to use any another component in Windows 7, accept of ffdshow. So any other components disabled in WMP.

But here is solution.

We've prepared for you several steps you need to make for watching AVC video streams using Elecard AVC Plug In for WMP

1. Download two utilities Win7DSFilterTweaker_3_7.exe Screenshots and DSFMgr.exe following this link
https://members.elecard.ru/productloader/getfile.php?id=ahiltsrm_1293559199%2Favc_FOR_wmp.zip

2. Open Win7DSFilterTweaker_3_7.exe  / then follow screenshots I made for you and in case system ask reboot, reboot PC.

3. Then try to open any AVC video by WMP. In case you see our logo, you access, in not then go to 4.

4. Open DSF manager / find there string Elecard AVC video Decoder (HD, SD). Then select by turn each filter and for each of it click Show filter properties
4.1 In filter properties move scrool up (as it shown DSF #1.jpg) to maximum FFFF0000
4.2 After you repeat operation for each filter, Close windows
  4.3 Play video again

If you have any questions or I need to clarify, feel free to ask
