Elecard Software Reference Designs

Software Reference Design (SRD) is a software pack consisting of modules or objects that you can use in your own applications. Along with the modules you also get the source codes of sample applications that show you how to use these objects and work with them. Software Reference Designs are not Software Development Kits (SDK), the main difference between these two is that in SDKs components are filters, while in SRDs components are objects that use those filters. SRD objects are in a way a superstructure over SDK filters, which works with them.

SRD objects accept a definite set of outcoming commands that your application may send to them, and then after they have received a command they start performing specific tasks such as playing a video file, pausing, rewinding etc. Modules or objects come without the source codes, however you do get the source codes of sample applications which will show you how to use the objects in a simple and easy way.

Even though modules are pretty easy to work with, you can face some troubles while integrating them into your applications. For this purpose we provide you with five hours of technical support which will make the integration process easy and efficient.
