Elecard DVB ASI RX IP Core – is a program package (core) developed to receive digital media via ASI. The core implements functionality of DVB-ASI player, which receives packages of MPEG-2 TS using coaxial cable or optical networks.
ASI interface area of the application includes cable networks of different purposes, intended for digital video/audio signals broadcasting. Multiplexed digital stream MPEG-2 TS complied with requirements of ISO/IEC 13818-1:system standard is used for data transferring via ASI. Mostly, the interface is used for hardware equipment connection to receive, process and distribute digital video/audio signals in broadcasting head-ends.
