16:9 HD file to 4:3 SD

Hello.

MyHD MPD-120 tapes into transport stream files even if it is an SD show. Is there a way to "zoom" into the sd and drop the side bars and make it a full normal 4:3 file with this program?

Hello Tim,

XMuxer software not allows to change content inside TS or PS.  XMuxer just transforms one stream type to another and can't change any picture parameters like resolution, aspect ratio, bitrate and etc.

I know Main Concept's h.264 encoder includes functionality like this so probably their MPEG-2 encoder does to.

But using either one of these will involve a re-encode.  Decode the current stream, then re-encode using your specified parameters.  If either or both of the bit rates are low you may see additional artifacts from this process.

Hi gconnery,
Elecard XMuxer Pro is not intended for re-encoding input streams. To change streams parameters such as bit rate or aspect ratio of an entrance stream it is possible to use Elecard Mobile Converter or other programs intended for these purposes.
