Hello,
I am having a project to Capture HD-SDI singal from an HD VTR, then convet the coaptured file to .tp format to use it in some HD players.
The HD format will be 1080i 59.94.
1, is Xmuxer Pro the correct transcoding software to choose?
2, any video capture card could work with this software?
or any video capture card you will recommand?
3, can I capture the signal into .tp format directly?
if not. which file format I should choose for video caturing?
Thanks for the Info.

Hi henz,

First of all, Xmuxer Pro is not the encoding software. Therefore, you will  be able to convert MPEG2, MPEG4 or AVC video sequences to MPEG2 Transport Stream. Please examine your capture card to find out what kind of data it provides as an output. Most of the popular capture cards produce a RAW video stream, thus you will have to encode the stream into format that you want.

Unfortunately, XMuxer Pro doesn't support any capture cards yet. We are planning on implementhing the support for real-time editing of data from DVB-T devices, and also on creating our own HD SDI capture card that will produce an H.264 output stream.
