i downloaded the moonlight player and wanted to use it as evaluation, but whenever i try to play a file nothing happens

when i open the file in graphedit with the moonlight filters i only get a "this graph cant play" message. the files i try are fine and play in other players (this also happens with 3.0.1 alpha)

i assume that this is a registration problem. i tried the player before already. but than again i read that simply reinstalling gives me another evaluation period
so i tried to start this registrator tool but it simply doesnt want to start

i remembered that i had problems uninstalling the player, cause the unistalling freezed when uninstalling LT.dll, so i simply did it the hard way aborted the process and simply deleted the files
installing works fine, but uninstalling always freezes in LT.dll

what can i do?

ps: i use winme
pps: the installer is **** slow here. whenever i push the next button it takes like 20 seconds to show me the next page, but thats propably another issue

Hi,

Please close all applications that can use our filters (all media tools) and
reboot the PC. It sounds like some filter is blocked while you are trying to install the player and this might cause the problem. Our guess is that some filters were uninstalled the first time and some still exist in your system.

hm where are all the filters coming with the player stored? in the shared files folder only? i unregistered all filters in that folder by hand with no change Sad

thx for your help!

What version of the player and format of the file doesn't play?
If the file is ok with 3.0.1 alpha, but it fails with another version, most probably that it is QuickTime v.7. In that case the only version to be used is 3.0.1.
Currently we are finalizing the Elecard MPEG Player 4.0.
Check back for updates.

The only difference of v.3.0.1 alpha (as compared to 3.0) is ability to play back the QuickTime 7 files (per se MP4 with AVC&AAC inside).
It would be helpful if you send us a short example of a stream.
Please write to our technical support (tsup@elecard.net.ru) for explanations.
