Hi again!
I'm not sure, if this problem is really a bug or a problem with my graphics card (nVidia 6600GT). I have installed driver 76.10 (which works best for video output on my system) and of course DirectX 9.0c. I also installed Microsoft Media Player 9.
I have a strange problem: When i switch on the feature "Hardware acceleration" in the properties of the MPEG-2 decoder, video playback is stuttering a bit. Regardless if i watch SDTV videos (720x576), HDTV (1920x1080i) or watch live television. Also deinterlacing seems to fail when i switch hardware acceleration on.
When i switch off hardware acceleration, the CPU load increases (e.g. HDTV 1920x1080i from 18-22% up to 30-40%) but the video playback is smooth - no stuttering.
What i also recognized is that using the Overlay Mixer gives the best performance, Video Mixing Renderer 9 sometimes causes additional stuttering. But i think this is an issue of my graphics card/driver/DirectX
Best regards, Martin
