Movie Studio HD  Supportes following Formats
AIFF, ATRAC, AVI, BMP, CDA, FLAC, GIF, JPG, LPEC, MMV, MP3, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, Sony M2TS, OGG, PCA, PNG, PSD, QuickTime®, SFA, SWF, TGA, TIF, W64, WAV, WMA, WMV, Native HDV and AVCHD, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 files.

To improve the quality of your video, you able to use following parameters of AVCHD 1080i 60:
1. Stream type parameters / number of passes : two passes
2. Video encoding parameters / profile / High Profile / Bitrate - >15000kbps / Aspect Ratio  - 16:9 / Speed(Quality) - Highest
3. Picture transformation / Frame rate > 29.97 / frame size  1920*1080 / Aspect ratio  - 16:9
4. Audio parameters / Bitrate / Max quality.

To encode AVI, MPEG2-HD saving that as HD 1080i stream you able to choose AVCHD HDV or MPEG-2 HDV profiles and edit parameters described above. Video in .MOV format you able to encode if that .MOV file is according to Apple Macintosh QuickTime requarements.
