Hi all,

I have version 5.3 and working fine.
Today, I just upgrade to 5.5, everything works except no sound.
I did try uninstalling and reinstalling but still no luck.

Can someone help ?
I'm running XP SP3.

Thanks

The possible causes of this issue are the following:
1) You are trying to play audio with audio format that our player do not support and you do not have any proper audio decoder installed on your machine(for example fro AC3 audio format you should have AC3 filter installed on your machine).
2) If you have installed all necessary codecs on your machine(AC3 filter for AC3 audio format) and the problems still repeats try to add proper decoder to the 'white filter list' of the player(Settings->Filters->White list) Elecard MPEG Player sometimes do not use AC3 filter installed on machine, this issue will be fixed in the next version 5.6 that we expect in the next month.

Thanks for the reply Olga,

I have some comments to your suggested solutions;
1). Keep in mind that everything works before I have upgraded to the version 5.5. So I'm sure I have the proper codec/AC3. And the video I played also works on other players (Winamp, Windows Player).
2). I tried putting everything that can be placed into the White List Filter and still no sound, just video.

So I guess I will just have to wit until version 5.6 coming out.

Could you please send us the screenshot of graph that Elecard MPEG Player 5.5 build on this file(please press "Ctrl+F" and make the screenshot).
Please send us the screenshot on email: tsup@elecard.com
We will appreciate you if you send us also the screenshot of graph that was built by Elecard MPEG Player 5.3 on the same file.

Hi Olga,

I have send it to the email address above.
However, I can only send you from version 5.5 since I have removed version 5.3 when I did the upgrade.

Please do the following to solve the problem:
1) Open your system registry.(Open your Start menu and select Run (or Command promoter) in it. In opened dialog type : regedit and push Ok.)
2) Open the following branch:
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Elecard\Elecard MPEG Player"
And delete this brach.
3) Restart Elecard MPEG Player.
