Hello.

I just purchased the AVCHD converter and have had a frustrating time with trying to convert a video with audio.  When I add an .m2ts file, the Task Parameters window only shows the video track, no audio track.  Converting it leaves a file with no audio at all (Camera is a HDR-SR11, encodes the audio using Dolby Digital).

I am running a winXP machine (HP XW6600 Workstation).

Another thing to note:  When I add another copy of the imported file, the second import shows an additional audio checkbox (when I try to select it, the checkmark dissappears).  Please help!

Now ECS can decode files with AC3 audio, only if proper decoder is already installed on your PC, install and use this Audio Decoder: http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net/
Soon, we will include AC3 decoder in ECS package and update in on our website.

I just purchased the AVCHD v 3.0.17 build 80714 and also use Sony, HDR-SR12.

I copy the .mts files directly off of the camera with the usb cable to my PC. From there I drag-and-drop them into Elecard AVCHD, impose a profile (eg. MPEG-2 DVD 576i50) ... and it converts, sound and all.

My only - and big - problem is that the result is quite unsharp and has artisfacts around moving horisontal lines.

It is recommended to increase the bitrate and use 2pass encoding to improve video quality

I am unable to find a button that lets me start a conversion. I see a window for Preview, Batch List, and Profiles.  Please explain where the controls are to start the conversion for AVCHD files to output as QT or MPEG.
