I recently downloaded the demo Converter Studio AVC HD demo (2.0 (build 71018). I am using a E6700 C2D, 4 GB RAM, Vista 32, 7600GT 256 MB.

I am trying to convert AVCHD file from my Panasonic HDC-SD1 (1440x1080) to an mpeg file. I have followed the directions to a conversion to HDV2 (using the profile included in the software). I see what I think are interlacing issues around each border - especially visible in regions of high contrast and/or when there is any type of motion.

I see this behaviour when I play back in Nero Showtime 4 or WMP 11.

Is this normal?

Please, set the "High Quality" Deinterlacing and check "Post processing(deblock)" in the "Picture Transformation" page. It should help.

That didn't work. I still get the same artefacts.
