I had evaluated XMuxer Pro previously (a month or so ago) and was impressed. However, I didn't end up using it for that project.

I'm currently evaluating it again for a different project. When I went to use it, the 21 day evaluation had run out. So I uninstalled it, downloaded the installer, and re-installed it.

I am now noticing two things that are different from the last time I evaluated the software:

1) Last time I used it, after the transport stream was generated, a graph would "pop under" XMuxer showing the filters used. But now, the graphs do not appear.

2) Last time I used it to multiplex AC3 audio, the PES stream id defaulted to 189 (The ATSC value) and everything was happy. But now, the PES stream ID ends up being 253 - even though audio properties in the multiplexer show it as being 189. I can change the value, but the contents of the stream are always 253.

Am I doing something wrong, of has XMuxer suffered a regression since the last time I used it?

Thanks for your help.

UPDATE:

Thinking that the problem might be in one of the DirectShow filters, I used graphedt to create my own multiplexer using the Main Concept multiplexer. I configured the Main Concept multiplexer filter to set the PES stream ID to 189. The output stream has EXACTLY the same problem (PES ID is 253) as the stream I created with XMuxer Pro. So I believe the problem is in the Main Concept multiplexer filter, and not in XMuxer Pro itself.

Is it possible that XMuxer Pro was recently released with a new version of the Main Concept Multiplexer filter? If not, I wonder how my previous multiplexes worked.

In the end of April there will be new version of XMuxer Pro 2.6 with a new version of the MainConcept MPEG Multiplexer component.

What's the status? in progress ?

Also, i wonder if it's possible to implement PID for Subtitles in .ts streams.
Now, Xmuxer PRO removes both AC3 PID's and Subtitle PID's.

Great great software otherwise.

Hi,

May I ask if there's any update on this issue? We're using 2.5.71213, not sure if it's the latest.
The stream_id of 253 can't be recognized as an AC-3 stream.

Thanks.

Hi!

This problem is already solved but new version 3.0 of XMuxer will be released approximately in two months. This will be completely rebuilt version of XMuxer  application based on new generation of our codecs with re-designed architecture and user-interface.

We are sorry that we can't offer you any workaround for now because current XMuxer v.2.5 is incompatible with new version of the component (i.e. multiplexer) that fixes this issue.

Please keep eye on news on our web-site to know when XMuxer Pro v.3.0 will be available and feel free to contact us again with any further questions regarding our products.

I am working on a writer to produce BD compliant A/V streams

The following is a PES header for AC3 from a ripped BD stream.

00 00 01 FD 03 0B 84 81 08 21 00 3F FF E1 01 81 71

The stream type is extended_stream_id (0xFD). The last two bytes (0x81 0x71) are the extended stream id information as follows (from 13818-1 2007 spec):

0x81 0x71 = 1000 0001 0111 0001

1 = marker bit
000 0001 = PES_extension_field_length == 1

0 = stream_id_extension_flag
111 0001 = stream_id_extension
