I'm looking to convert stored TS streams or broadcasts from a Digital TV card into a format that i can read into another converter. The file format does not necessarily have to be of the sources quality, but i do want good sync, which is a problem i am having with other ts converters.

I also want to be able to do this converting as a service with no UI. So would like to know can it run de-muxing within a vb.net application.

Whats the performance like on the demuxing? i.e. conversion times and quality, is Sync still a problem with this?

Cheers for any help

John

Hi,

No problems here. All you need is to build simple graph like this:

File Source->MPEG Pull Demuxer=>MPEG or MP4 Multiplexer->Sink Filter

Remultiplexing doesn't affect video quality and take several times less time than normal playback. Yes, audio/video synch issues may occur but we haven't heard of such problems for quite a long time already.  Smiley

Also we plan to make console version of XMuxer (this is expected to happen with version 3.0 release) so any one interested in such tool with out GUI is welcome to try it.
