Dear Elecard Support

I have downloaded a trial version of this program to decide if i will buy the HD version, i want to ask about Pulldown option in H.264/AVC Advanced Settings.
I see there's 4 options: 3:2p 2:3p and 2:3i 3:2i. I need to know what types i can use if my source are 100% FILM (23.976 or 24). I want to add these pulldown flags correctly but i dont know how can i do, if i want to convert my source film to 29:97 (pulldown from 23.976) what should i do?
I want my final stream 29.97 but pulldown from 23.976 or 24, i dont want to change the framerate, only insert the correct pulldown flags but i need my final stream 29.97. I import my source then change the framerate to 29.97 and change the settings in pulldown options? Please, now i'm bit confuse with 4 pulldown options, can specify what each type 3:2p 2:3p and 2:3i 3:2i mean?

Thanks

Best Regards,

Dear Cakuhnen

The mode «i» (3:2i/2:3i) composes a stream by fields «duplication». It is designed for conversion of 23,976 into 29,97 fps and  24 into 30 fps.
The mode «p» (3:2p/2:3p) composes a stream by frames «duplication». It is designed for conversion of 23,976 into 59,97 fps and 24 into 60 fps.

In the given version it is not possible to set up the ECS pulldown option properly via application’s GUI (it is related to AVC encoder only). In the next product versions this option will work for AVC encoder as well.

I would suggest you use the preset profiles for encoding film source from 23,976fps into 29,97fps and 24fps into 30fps using the pulldown option.

Dmitry.

Dear Elecard Support

I also have downloaded a trial version of this program. To me, this one provides  best picture quality compared to other AVC encoders.

Is that possibble for me to download preset Pulldown profiles again.

Thank you very much.
