Hi,

I have quite a lot of HD TS files I want to playback with your player, it has a lot smoother playback for 1080p video compared to VLC (how come yours has no dropped frames, what's different than VLC?) but it will only detect the 2.0 channel stream, and all of my files I know have an AC3 5.1 stream with them (I can play them 5.1 in VLC).

How come I can't select them in the player's channel box? It won't detect it at startup either, just defaults to the one and only 2.0 stream.

I have an AC3 filter installed, too.

thanks.

Hello,

Thanks for your right choice! Smiley Smoothness of HD playback basically depends on the decoders performance and additionaly on the right demuxer implementation. The last thing here is the application implementation.

AC3 decoding limited by Dolby license restrictions. So as it mentioned at our site here:
http://www.elecard.com/products/products-pc/consumer/dvd-player/
we can only redirect AC3 audio to HW SPDIF output.

MainConcept/Elecard has sytem license for dual channel AC3 decoder. 5.1 licensing is in progress. So soon you will be able to get such decoder as a developer.

Have you checked if you can change any properties of your AC3-filter? I had a similar problem but then I found that the output was set to 2 channels by default. so I tried some other settings until I found one that was working, I think it was 3/2 something.. I could also see the intensity levels of the AC3 in signal and my decoded output signal and they matched perfectly! And what a difference to the stereosound I had before!
