Hi,

I need some Audio Codec advice.

I'm using Elecard's FileSink to write a TS muxed file with AVC and AAC. When done I'm using ffmpeg to translate the file into a .m4v-file for streaming from a Flash Server. The AVC stream is copied, but for the Flash Server to stream the file properly I have to transcode the AAC stream [AAC (ADTS) Version 2 LC from the Elecard Filter to AAC Version 4 LC], which I want to avoid.

I tried to have the Elecard AAC Codec produce AAC Version 4 (LC). I looked in the Elecard AAC Audio Encoder.pdf but I didn't see any obvious way. I tried setting the EAACE_Format_Type to ADIF, ADTS and RAW without success.

Please, make more exact the term  "AAC Version 4 (LC)" you used. MPEG standards not define this.
Do you need HEAAC? Select HE profile in encoder (for explicit SBR, or select LC profile with SBR signaling compatible\implicit).
Our encoder support only HEAAC v1 (SBR) not HEAAC v2 (SBR+PS).
Or maybe you need AudioDecoderConfig data? You can get this data from WAVEFORMATEX data on encoder Output pin.
Or you have in view any bitstream headers, specific to MPEG-4 standard, like LATM or LOAS?

BTW, try Elecard MP4 Multiplexer with Elecard AAC Encoder (raw format type, LC profile).

Thanks - the info I used came out of  MediaInfo http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net.

Do you have a better way to determine the output file contents/codecs etc?

I used the MPEG4 Muxer instead of the TS Muxer and the output worked just fine (with the same settings for the AAC Codec). MediaInfo showed it as AAC (Version 4)(LC)(SBR). Strange though since the defualt AAC configuration is SBR == disabled.

Unfortunately I need to save the TS and not MP4. Any idea what's going on?
