I recently got the dancing white box. Searched around and to remove it I have either got to buy Elecard or remove it. I want to remove it. I did all the uninstallers for elecard and restart my computer. The box still remains. Tried reinstalling my other codecs but i still see the white box in WMP and DivX Player but not in Nero Showtime.

How can i remove the white box?

You need to remove Elecard MPEG2 decoder. It is located in Program files\Common files\Elecard\ or Common files\Mainconcept
File name em2vd.ax, or mcm2vd.ax, or mpeg2vd.ax.
Please, take in mind, that WMP and DivX player may stop to play your mpeg2 files without Elecard decoder, if the other one is not installed in your system.

Or, it's possible to use the DecCleaner program to uninstall the Video Decoder:
http://www.elecard.com/ftp/pub/mpeg/decoder/DecCleaner.zip
You need to download the program, unzip it and start the ElecardDecoderCleaner.bat.
