Elecard iTelec STB 6xx RD is a complete reference design based on the TI DaVinci architecture system-on-chip (SoC) processors TMS320DM6443 and TMS320DM6446. The product targets systems integrators and operators who produce STB for service providers delivering a range of advanced broadcast, on-demand, and interactive TV services.
Elecard iTelec STB 6xx supports versatile transport demultiplexing, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video decoding. Signal can be delivered via IP-network. Elecard iTelec STB 6xx decodes the selected channel, decrypts and displays it on the TV screen via composite or S-Video outputs. This set-top box is based on open software architecture, which allows everyone to develop their own applications. Elecard iTelec STB 6xx is compatible with software of other manufacturers known on the market.
Elecard AVC/H.264 decoder on TI DaVinci offers decoding up to full D1 resolution 3mbps 720x576@25fps (PAL) including support for advanced post-processing for superior video quality at very low bit-rates.
