Elecard releases new free utility Elecard Video Format Analyzer for fast and easy metadata extraction and viewing in media files.

Today, Elecard Devices CJSC, a leading developer of codecs and products for digital video, announced the release of Elecard Video Format Analyzer, a new free handy tool designed for extraction and viewing of metadata contained in media files, making it possible to get highly detailed information on the analyzed file, such as the length, size, actual creation date and much more.

Elecard supports AVI and MP4 metadata extraction and visualizing as a tree-type list, which specifies size and offset for each metadata segment. Header descriptions and values are  provided with the RIFF-AVI or BOX-MP4 data formats, while the hexadecimal preview mode for file and its parts corresponds to the specified metadata segments. Text representation and offset from the beginning of a file are shown in the preview pane,  and the parsing process can be easily interrupted if the need should arise. MKV support will be implemented in the next version.
